Today, we remember another memorable icon, Grace Kelly, who died after a fateful car accident on September 14, 1982.
Even today, 30 years after her death, Grace Kelly still represents the elegance, mystery, and the unachievable. The story of a magical film diva who gave up everything to share her life with the prince of a tiny country the old continent. Cheek more of her life in the post : High Society: Grace Kelly
It was not the first time that Grace moved alone to the world in search of her dream. Born into a wealthy family, at age 18 traveled to New York to study drama. In her early work as a photo model and represented that style of innocent woman, very feminine, roguish, obviously antithesis of the erotic myths like Marilyn Monroe or Sophia Loren, which Alfred Hitchcock was able to take all the juice and became his muse. A new kind of woman who marked trend and was loved in Hollywood. So much that in just five years of career shined on top of American cinema.
Between 1951 and 1956 developed her brief but intense film career: she starred in a total of 11 films, won an Oscar for Best Actress for “The Country Girl” and had a busy love life in which, presumably, had romances with stars of the caliber of Gary Cooper and Clark Gable.
Here some cute pictures I found of Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn at the Academy Awards in 1954, the year Grace won the Oscar, Audrey was nominated for “Sabrina” and had the oscar in 1953 for “Roman Holiday”
Unfortunately, the tragic end of Grace Kelly turned her fairy tale into a film of suspense the style of Alfred Hitchcock. September 14, 1982 Grace died after suffering a car accident with her daughter Stephanie, who was unharmed, on the same road that made her immortal in film ”To Catch a Thief”. The circumstances of the accident were never clarified.
