Cities In Dust

As if one of the songs sung and danced by Beyoncé was involved, the girls from Roberto Cavalli (Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy and Daphne Groeneveld) star in the new Spring-Summer 2012 campaign of Italian fashion designer. Where are all the single ladies, or so it seems, the girls pose like Charlie’s Angels (in this case Roberto’s Angels). Yes, with one more member in the group.

brightness, they do not miss the metallic, and they let the lace run These are the premises that have been taken into account when taking pictures. Steven Meisel was the architect who was behind the lens …

Mint Car

After much color block. much fluoride. much vitamin … it seems that the proposals are choosing softer side, sweet and delicious color: pastels succeed! The color version cloying reign many of the outfits at the end of this season and next. Lets soften for this trend since it now!

Also as we have been reporting in different posts, we support the mint green, being more daring, innovative and that seems to appear more in all houses of haute couture. But, all these colors have been seen in collections of Louis Vuitton, Chanel Dior, etc…

Dance In the Dark

Lights, camera … action! Pending are that the Jil Sander designer; Raf Simons, gives ‘Yes I do’ to the French maison Christian Dior, but for now we settle for the 2012 Spring-Summer season of its signature. Like if you were in an Alfred Hitchcock movie, Natasha Poly and Daria Strokous become suffered actresses.

With a total white look, Daria emulates the great actresses who worked for the famous filmmaker. Shadows, lost gazing and intrigue. Do not miss anything, and that play of light in this black and white image is a result of top mark. Continue reading to see more pictures:

It’s a Wrap, I Found a Dream

Preppy is an American adjective, while prep is only an American noun, traditionally used in relation to Northeastern private university-preparatory schools and denotes a person seen as characteristic of an attendee of these schools.

The term preppy derives from the expensive pre-college preparatory or prep schools that upper-middle-class children on the United States’s Northeastern states sometimes attend. Lisa Birnbach‘s 1980 book Official Preppy Handbook, which was written to poke fun at the rich lives of privileged East Coast college students but ended up glamorizing the culture, portrays the preppy social group as well-educated, well-connected, and although exclusive, courteous to other social groups without fostering serious relationships with them. Being well-educated and well-connected reflects their upper-class status, which encourages higher education and professional success.

Two Figures By A Fountain

The vintage back. And if not just ask those responsible for the Spring-Summer 2012 campaign for Chanel: Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smallstwo separated by two sticks hanging from a black and white image. and the outfit?  White tweed suit jacket combined with sandals and white socks !

I hope this trend does not get fashionable, if not forget it. Socks with sandals (more if you are white) is something I do not understand, and as much as Chanel is imposed, let’s not fall on their nets. But back to the campaign, the images have been made by Karl Lagerfeld (of course) at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, and the styling is by Carine Roitfeld.
